My meter reading notification number is incorrect. What should I do?

You are trying to submit your meter reading, but you get a message that your meter reading notification number is incorrect. Why is this?

This may be caused by the following reasons: 

You are receiving water from another water company 

If your meter reading notification number has 8 or 11 digits, then you may not be receiving tap water from Waternet, but from another tap water company. The Waternet meter reading notification number always contains 10 digits. Please check the email or letter that you have received.
 
Find out which tap water company is supplying you water 

 You are late with submitting your meter reading 

Are you late with submitting your meter reading? Then your meter reading notification number will no longer work. After entering your meter reading notification number, you will then receive a message that you are no longer able to submit your meter reading. And that we have made an estimate of your usage. 

You have entered the wrong number 

Maybe you have entered the wrong number by mistake? For example, because you made a typo. Check that the number you enter is the same as the meter reading notification number in your letter or email. 

Is there another problem? 

That is annoying, of course. You can submit your meter reading to our customer service department. Call us on 0900 93 94 (regular call charges). We can be reached on weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00.
