Understanding your warrant for water authority tax

Have you received a water authority tax warrant? Learn what this means for you and what you can do. Also check out the frequently asked questions at the bottom of this page.

Which action should I take?

Please pay the amount stated on the warrant as soon as possible. Then it will all be taken care of and there's nothing to worry about. Please pay the amount within 2 days after the 'mail delivery date' (‘datum ter postbezorging’). That is the date stated at the top right of your warrant.

Pay directly via My Waternet

How can I pay?

  • Online. The easiest and fastest way to pay is online. Go to My Waternet, log in with your DigiD and pay via iDEAL.
  • Transferring the amount yourself. You can transfer the amount to account number NL97NWAB0636750310, in the name of Waterschap Amstel, Gooi en Vecht. Do not forget to include your payment reference. You can find this in the warrant.

Understanding your warrant

You will receive a warrant if you do not pay your payment reminder for your water authority tax assessment on time. The warrant will state the outstanding amount. Plus extra charges for issuing the warrant.

Why did I receive a warrant?

According to our information, you did not yet pay the payment reminder for your water authority tax assessment. That is why you have received a warrant. Please pay this amount within 2 days after the 'mail delivery date'. That is the date stated at the top right of your warrant.

Did you pay the warrant before the due date? Then you have definitely submitted your payment on time.

I have already paid the warrant

Did you receive a warrant, although you already paid the payment reminder? Perhaps your payment and the warrant were sent around the same time. Please check on My Waternet if your payment was successfully processed. Log in with your DigiD and see if you have paid the reminder. If this is the case, please ignore the warrant. You can also call us to check if you have paid your tax assessment.

Why am I receiving a warrant?

You will receive a warrant if we notice that you have not paid your water authority tax assessment. You have previously already received several reminders from us. Can I still change to payment in instalments? Or set up a payment plan?

No, it is too late to switch your payment option into payment in instalments. Or to set up a payment plan.

What is a warrant?

A warrant is an official letter you receive from us if you have not paid your water authority tax despite having received several reminders. In this way, we can force you to pay. Of course, we would rather not do this. If you also fail to pay the warrant and do not get in contact us, we have the right to seize money in your account, properties, wages, or your car.
