If you have a water meter

Do you have a water meter at home? Then you will be paying for the exact amount of water you use.

• You will pay €1.22 per 1,000 litres of water. That is 9 cents more than in 2024.
• You will pay €98.42 in fixed costsper year. That is roughly €5 less than in 2024.

Sample calculations for a water meter

Please note that the sample calculations below exclude 9% VAT and tap water tax. 

1. You live by yourself (average consumption 53 m3)

In 2024, a 1-person household paid approximately €163 for tap water. In 2025, this will be approximately €158. In other words, you will pay about €5 less.

2. You live with 1 other person (average consumption 106 m3)

In 2024, a 2-person household paid approximately €218 for tap water. In 2025, this will be approximately €217.40. In other words, you will pay about 60 cents less. 

3. You live with 3 other persons (average consumption 159 m3)

In 2024, a 3-person household paid approximately €273 for tap water. In 2025, this will be approximately €277. In other words, you will pay €3 more.

4. You live with 3 other persons (average consumption 212 m3)

 In 2024, a 4-person household paid approximately €328 for tap water. In 2025, this will be approximately €336. In other words, you will pay about €8 more.

If you do not have a water meter

Do not have a water meter at home? Then you will pay for the number of units in your house.

• You will pay €27.96 per unit. That is about €2 more than in 2024.
• You will pay €92.12 in fixed costs per year. That is roughly €11 less than in 2024.
